Peter Pang Leaves LDP

RM0 1/9: Sabah: LDP vice-president Peter Pang quits the party, amidst rumours that LDP will leave BN. Pang is currently Sabah deputy CM./MKINI

…………………………………………

I received this SMS from MalaysiaKini yesterday. I didn’t at first see the significance of this move. I mean everybody knows that Datuk Peter Pang is one of Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman’s staunchest supporters. So when LDP decided to move against the CM, Pang chose to be aligned with the CM by relinquishing both his party and ministerial posts. Keeping only his state seat of Karamunting as a BN independent. Later PM Najib said that Pang wishes to join Gerakan another BN component party. I expected this one to happen because after all didn’t another of the CM’s men, Datuk Raymond Tan, left SAPP and joined Gerakan awhile ago? Apparently the CM kept him aboard because Raymond seem to be a smart businessman and is useful to his plans. So what’s the big deal, right?

What I didn’t see coming is that this could be an elaborate plan to take down the CM of Sabah and LDP is the lightning rod.

Speculators has been theorising for months that by year end CM Musa would be soon be replaced. This recent incident could be the beginning of the end for Musa.

LDP is to be the first strike. Others are soon to follow. No way that LDP acted without the blessings of the other component parties, most particularly Umno. The Umno warlords are not happy with Musa and they want him now. They believe that the CM’s appetite for 5% projects could cost them the coming 13th General Election.

It’s time for change. Whether or not is it for the better is yet to be seen.

Sept 16 is Malaysia Day – Malaysiakini Sms 19/10/09

19/10: From next year onwards, Hari Malaysia on Sept 16 will be made a national public holiday, says Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak./MKINI
——————————————————–
The Prime Minister is indeed serious in realising his ‘1Malaysia’ concept. By turning Sept 16 as an NATIONAL public holiday the government is recognising Sabah and Sarawak’s roles as partners to the Federation of Malaysia.

They’re indeed still others who bitches about the sincerity of the whole thing. When I sent out this sms this morning some replied back saying that its not relevant since Sabah was already celebrating on every Sept 16. (Of course some of them hadn’t read properly of was written)

August 31 will still be celebrated as Merdeka Day to mark independence from colonial rule.

I find that the government of the day is working overtime in convincing the rakyat that they’re the real deal. And they are winning.

Hmmm. Come to think of it this article was written a few days ago by Commodities Minister Tan Sri Bernard Dompok…

Ong Tee Keat resumes MCA presidency? – Malaysiakini sms 15/10/09

Just as I mentioned on my earlier post, if Ong Tee Keat continues on as president and defy the MCA members wishes; a party split will ensue. Then that’ll be another Chinese-based party in the works… Wait a minute, what about Gerakan? Ah, but isn’t Gerakan a multi-racial party? Yes, it is and what’s so wrong about creating another Chinese party?

Isa Samad Candidate for Bagan Pinang! (Omg!) MalaysiaKini Sms 29/09/09

Oh my goodness gracious theyre really doing it...

Oh my goodness gracious they're really doing it...

29/9: BN has decided on former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar and disgraced party veep Isa Samad as its candidate for Bagan Pinang./MKINI

——————————————————————-

Umno is digging its own grave with this morsel piece. Isa Samad was charged with corruption during the recent party elections due to money politics.

Tun M and others had very much spoken about this issue and being against Isa’s candidacy.

In the world of Umno politics perhaps they’re in denial that they’ll always be strong and when their kuda wins, they’ll definitely plunder the benefits that would follow, positions of power.

Its no longer about serving the rakyat anymore. It’s all about the power-plays. That’s the reality.

The bubble will soon burst, most definitely.

I’ll be closely observing this by-poll as this will be the turning-point of Umno’s politcal survival…
